You will then be greeted by our company representative, as you walk out of the airport. He will accompany you to the car and transfer to your hotel

DELHI – Explore Old and New Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a tour of Old Delhi by cycle rickshaw (pedicab). One image that is identifiable to Delhi is it’s cycle rickshaws. They are a true local’s form of transport, which still ply the lanes of Old Delhi picking people up and dropping them off, weaving almost impossibly in and out of the people, cows, motor bikes and hand carts. Take a ride through the narrow alleys and vibrant shopping bazaars – Dariba Kalan (The Silver Market), Kinari Bazaar (Wedding Market), savour the aromas of the famous spice market Khari Baoli. Also visit the magnificent Jama Masjid – largest mosque in India.

DELHI / AGRA – to Taj Mahal

More a walled city than fort, being 2.5 kms in circumference, the sheer scale of the fort is what astounds. Next visit Taj Mahal to experience the wonderful effects caused by the reflections of the setting Sun in front of the of Taj Mahal. Its perfect proportions and exquisite craftsmanship have been described as “a vision, a dream, a poem, a wonder”. Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal to experience the surreal effects caused by the reflections of the sun rising from behind the white marble clad Taj Mahal.
After breakfast, drive about 5.5 hrs to Ranthambhore. En route stop at Bharatpur to visit the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary with a local naturalist. The park apart from the wetlands has patches of grassland, woodland and acacia scrub. Your mode of transport inside the park is cycle rickshaw but frequently we will have to walk on to the trails where the rickshaws cannot go.

After breakfast, drive about an hour for a tour of Amber Fort. Amber Fort built for the rulers of Rajasthan, which stands boldly on a hill. A journey through the fort showcases the extravagant lives of the Maharajas of the city as well as fascinating architectural features and providing wonderful photo opportunities.
Afternoon you will take a tour of the city palace complex, part of which is still the home of the former ruling family. Located in the heart of the bustling walled city, the complex was built almost three hundred years ago for the rulers of Jaipur state. Rather than just being one palace, the entire complex is made up of palaces, pavilions, gardens and temples as well as housing an impressive museum.

    • Wednesdays – Bandhavgarh and Kanha National parks are closed for afternoon safari on Wednesdays. We can arrange alternate activities like a village visit, nature walks, cycling, visit a weekly tribal market in place of a safari on Wednesday afternoon.

      July to September – National parks closed for rainy reasons.
