ARRIVE DELHI – Arrive into India

Meet and greet on your arrival in Delhi. You will be received by an airport staff at the aerobridge. He will then assist you through the immigration and baggage. You will then be greeted by our company representative, as you walk out of the airport. He will accompany you to the car and transfer to your hotel close to the airport.

After breakfast, you will have a tour of Old Delhi by cycle rickshaw (pedicab). One image that is identifiable to Delhi is it’s cycle rickshaws. They are a true local’s form of transport, which still ply the lanes of Old Delhi picking people up and dropping them off, weaving almost impossibly in and out of the people, cows, motor bikes and hand carts. Take a ride through the narrow alleys and vibrant shopping bazaars – Dariba Kalan (The Silver Market), Kinari Bazaar (Wedding Market), savour the aromas of the famous spice market Khari Baoli. Also visit the magnificent Jama Masjid – largest mosque in India.
Afternoon continue on your guided tour of the capital that will highlight wide avenues, grand vistas and colonial mansions.

Corbett National Park – Situated along the valley of the Ramganga river and fringed by the Himalayan foothills in the north Corbett is very picturesque national park. The 1318 Sq Km (509 Sq mile) reserve was originally a hunter’s paradise during the British Raj. In 1936 it was established as the Hailey National Park, largely due to great British hunter turned conservationist Jim Corbett after whom the park is now named. Corbett is well known and a heaven for its Tigers & Elephants.

Morning and afternoon game drive in a 4WD vehicle with a lodge naturalist in either Bijrani or Durgadevi forest range.
Bijrani Forest Range – It was once a shooting block having crossing jungle roads. Located on the eastern side of the of the Corbett national park, Bijrani houses a wide variety of flora which includes of pure Sal forests on the upper reaches and tropical moist, deciduous mixed forests in the valley and plains. The continuous water availability and an extremely wide grass lands makes it a point of strong base for the prey as well as big cats.
Durgadevi Forest Range – It is located on the north eastern boundary of the park. This forest range of Corbett tiger Reserve is good for birding and the area is also known for wild elephants all-round the year and the undulating terrain provide excellent opportunity to see leopards as well as tigers.

This 758 sq km park, Pench is named after the Pench river. It is the panoramic beauty of this region that has been described as early as the beginning of the 20th century by naturalists like Captain J. Forsyth in ‘Highlands of Central India’ and by Rudyard Kipling in the ‘Jungle Book’. It has the highest density of herbivores in India and has a growing population of tigers and wild dogs. This linked with Kanha Np by a forested 16,000 sq km corridor and best to explore it is on Mountain Bikes.

The Tadoba Tiger Reserve has been unnoticed by tourism till recently. It has a forest dominated by teak forest and bamboo; it’s a rugged landscape comprising cliffs, caves, marshes, perennial lakes and boulder strewn streambeds that cater to a host of biodiversity. It is abounding with wildlife and animals like Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Hyaena, Jackal, Wild Dog and Sambar inhabit the reserve.

Nagarhole National Park – The park is Nilgiri Biosphere encompassing six contiguous wildlife sanctuaries, spaning the states ofKarnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Created to protect the extraordinary biodiversity of the last surviving tracts of tropical evergreen and deciduous forests of the Western Ghats, this reserve along with the adjacent Mudumalai Sanctuary forms one of the most important migratory corridors for animals such as the Asian Elephant and the Indian Bison. The park also has Gaur (Indian bison), Dhole (Indian wild dogs), Wild Cats, Sloth Bears, Monkeys and Sambar Deer.

Morning take a shared vehicle safari with forest department at Nagarhole National park. The Nagarhole ecosystem supports the highest density of herbivores anywhere in Asia with around 108 animals per sq km. In addition to large herbivores such as the Chital, Sambar, Gaur, Asian Elephant and more, Nagarhole also boasts a large number of predators including the Tiger, Leopard and Wild dog.
A highlight of the Park is the largest congregation of Asian Elephants in the world, which occur during the summer months. The visitor can also look forward to bird watching, what with over 300 species of birds recorded in the region.
Afternoon shared boat safari. On the Boat Safari, you will be taken upstream from the resort on the Kabini River to where the river itself separates the Nagarhole National Park from the Bandipur National Park.

The golden age of maharajahs and princes may be over, but Mysore remains a splendid city of palatial buildings, gardens and broad tree-lined boulevards. Known as the cultural capital of Karnataka for its extravagant festivities, the city is renowned for its equally grand palaces. Many of these celebrations, including the ten-day Hindu festival of Dasara (related to the Hindu epic Ramayana) take place in the beautiful Ambavilas Palace. The city is also famous for its silk weaving, sandalwood incense and wood carvings.

En route visit the ancient Srirangapatnam Fort. an island-fort-city, famous as the battleground between the British and Tipu Sultan, the ‘Tiger of Mysore’. The fort’s walls form a protective barrier for the town and numerous monuments of architectural and historic importance.
Arrive at Banagalore and transfer to the international airport to board flight for onward destination.

Therefore, we would request you please send us the following information at the earliest in order to enable us to book game drives or a scanned copy of the relevant pages of the passports.
Wednesdays – Bandhavgarh and Kanha National parks are closed for afternoon safari on Wednesdays. We can arrange alternate activities like a village visit, nature walks, cycling, visit a weekly tribal market in place of a safari on Wednesday afternoon.
July to September – National parks closed for rainy reasons.
